Comparison

These two do different jobs. Here is where they actually meet.

FlytBase automates docked drone-in-a-box operations: scheduled, repeatable flights from a DJI Dock with no one on site. Nebli carries live video and detections from drones and cameras you already operate, including manually piloted ones, with no dock to buy. Most buyers are choosing between two different projects, not two versions of the same product. Where they do overlap is the live picture, and they can run together.

Want live video from drones you already fly? Nebli
Building unattended docked operations? FlytBase
Nebli vs FlytBase · reviewed Jul 2026
01/Different categories

One automates the flying. One carries the picture.

Which one fits depends on the problem you actually have.

Nebli live video layer

The job: get live video and detections off the drones and cameras a team already operates, to whoever needs to watch, over the network already in the field. No aircraft sold, no dock required, and the pilot stays the customer’s certificated pilot.

Typical starting point: “We already fly. Our people cannot see the feed.”

FlytBase dock automation

The job: run scheduled, repeatable flights from a docking station without sending someone to the site. Mission planning, dock and fleet management, and the BVLOS operation around it. Software only; the docks and aircraft are bought separately.per public sources

Typical starting point: “We want a drone at this site flying a route on a schedule.”

02/Where they overlap

The narrow seam: the live picture.

Both put live video in front of an operator. If that is the only part you are evaluating, these are the differences that matter.

Dimension Nebli live video from what you already fly FlytBase video as part of dock operations
01What it needs to work
A drone or camera you already have. Any RTSP source, no firmware change, no dock and no aircraft purchase.
The value is built around a docking station and the aircraft that lives in it, bought separately and installed at the site.per public sources
02Manually piloted flights
The core case. A pilot flies; the feed and detections reach the room. Nebli augments the operator and does not fly the aircraft.
Supported alongside docked operations in the same dashboard, but the platform is built around unattended docked missions.per public sources
03Non-drone sources
Fixed and trailer-mounted field cameras ride the same relay as the drones, on the same private link.
Connects CCTV and other sensors into a single view alongside the docked fleet.per public sources
04Sharing the feed
A PIN-gated link anyone can open in a browser, no install and no account, viewers not metered.
Live feeds go to dispatch and command centers and can be pushed into an existing video management system.per public sources
05How you buy it
Published flat tiers, free Pilot to start, self-serve signup without a sales call.
Quoted per deployment through a pricing enquiry; no public price list at the time of review.per public sources

FlytBase cells marked per public sources are summarized from FlytBase’s published material and are not independently verified by Nebli. Vendors move quickly; re-check before a decision.

Nebli is not certified CJIS, NDAA, SOC 2, or FedRAMP today. FlytBase publicly states ISO and SOC 2 compliance along with on-premises and air-gapped deployment options.

03/Already running docks

If FlytBase already flies your docks, Nebli is not a replacement.

Ripping out a working dock program to gain a video layer would be a bad trade, and we would not propose it.

Keep the dock program

Scheduled docked flights stay where they are. Nebli does not orchestrate docks and does not try to.

Add the flights it does not cover

Handheld sorties, incident response, and sites without a dock still need a live picture.

One link for everyone else

Partners and field teams watch on a PIN-gated link without accounts in your dock platform.

Bring the fixed cameras

Cameras already on site join the same view, with no second portal.

04/The honest tradeoff

Where each one wins.

A real comparison says where the other platform is stronger. Here is ours.

Nebli

Where Nebli wins

  • No dock or aircraft to buy. Works with the drones and cameras already in the field.
  • Manually piloted flights are the core case, not an addition to a docked program.
  • Published flat pricing and a free Pilot, with self-serve signup.
  • A shareable PIN-gated link for people who will never have a login.
FlytBase

Where FlytBase wins

  • Unattended docked operations. Scheduled, repeatable flights with nobody at the site. Nebli does not do this and does not plan to; a certificated pilot is always in command.
  • Dock and fleet management across many sites, with mission planning built for it. Nebli manages deployments, not docks.
  • Compliance and deployment options. Publicly states ISO and SOC 2 compliance plus on-premises and air-gapped options. Nebli holds no third-party attestation today.
  • A long track record in docked BVLOS programs with named enterprise deployments. Ask both vendors for references that match your use case.
05/FAQ

Questions buyers ask first.

Are Nebli and FlytBase actually competitors?

Only at the edges. FlytBase automates docked drone-in-a-box operations; Nebli carries live video and detections off drones and cameras already in the field. They meet at the live picture, and plenty of teams have a reason to run both. If a vendor tells you these are the same product, ask them which one flies the aircraft.

Does Nebli fly the drone or run autonomous missions?

No. Nebli does not plan missions, dispatch aircraft, or make flight decisions. A certificated pilot flies; Nebli relays the video, telemetry, and detections to the people who need them. Unattended docked flight is FlytBase’s category, not ours.

We already run FlytBase. Is this a rip-and-replace?

No, and we would not propose one. Keep the dock program. Nebli covers the flights it does not: handheld sorties, incident response, and sites without a dock, plus fixed cameras already installed. It also gives partners and field teams a PIN-gated link without adding accounts to your dock platform.

Do we need to buy a dock to use Nebli?

No. Nebli sells no hardware and needs no docking station. Any drone or field camera that exposes RTSP works, with no firmware change, over the network already at the site.

How do the two compare on compliance?

FlytBase publicly states ISO and SOC 2 compliance and offers on-premises and air-gapped deployment. Nebli is not certified CJIS, NDAA, SOC 2, or FedRAMP today; it is built aligned to ISO 27001 controls with no third-party attestation yet. If a certification is a hard requirement, that is a real reason to pick another vendor, and we will say so rather than waste your evaluation cycle.
