Which DJI drones work with Nebli

Start here: check which app your controller runs

The answer does not really depend on the model. It depends on the app, which is why this rule holds even for drones released after this page was written.

  • DJI Pilot 2 (the enterprise app): both paths work. Sign in on the controller and the aircraft binds to your account, or push a custom RTMP stream. Nothing to download.
  • DJI Fly with a Live Streaming option: streaming works. The drone pushes video straight to Nebli over custom RTMP. Nothing to download.
  • Neither: no path today. If your controller runs DJI Fly and there is no Live Streaming or custom RTMP option in the menu, the aircraft cannot reach Nebli yet.

Use current versions of DJI Fly or DJI Pilot 2. If your model is not in the lists below, the rule above is still the answer.

What you get on each path

This is the part worth reading before you pick, because the two paths are not the same product.

  • Binding (DJI Pilot 2): video, telemetry and camera control. Live video, full telemetry (position, altitude, battery, gimbal), camera and gimbal control on handoff, cloud recording, and detection alerts on the feed.
  • Streaming (custom RTMP): video only. Live video into the dashboard, cloud recording, and detection alerts on the feed. No telemetry and no control. The drone is sending a video stream and nothing else.

Consumer drones: streaming

These push video to Nebli through the Live Streaming option in DJI Fly. Video only, nothing to download.

Find your drone, then read the controller row. DJI documents streaming support by controller, not by aircraft, so the controller is what decides. Several drones ship with a choice of controller, and the answer is different depending on which one you have.

If your model is not listed, find your controller in the second table. That answer holds whether or not we have named your drone.

Enterprise drones: binding and streaming

These run DJI Pilot 2, so both paths are available.

What you need

  • To bind (Pilot 2): a Nebli account, Third-Party Cloud Services available in Pilot 2, and an internet connection on the controller.
  • To stream (custom RTMP): an internet connection on the controller or phone, and the stream address and key from Add DJI drone in the dashboard. The aircraft itself does not need its own connection; the app sends the stream. Video quality and bitrate are set in the DJI app.

What we have run ourselves

Everything in the tables above is DJI's documentation. This is the shorter list of setups we have put a stream through ourselves, end to end, into a Nebli dashboard.

No first-party runs recorded yet. This fills in as we run them.

One row is one exercise: that aircraft, on that controller. It does not extend to other aircraft on the same controller, or to the same aircraft on a different one. When we run another pair, it gets its own row.

Known limits, and when we last checked them

The limits above are listed here with their dates. This is the dated register for them, so if a limit and a date ever disagree with the tables, this section is the one that has been checked.

They are keyed by controller, because that is how DJI states them. A limit travels with the controller and applies to any aircraft you pair it with.

DJI RC does not stream. DJI Fly has no live streaming option on it.2026-08-242026-11-24
DJI RC 2 and RC Pro 2 stream at 720p rather than 1080p. DJI attributes this to the controller hardware.2026-08-242026-11-24
DJI RC Pro and Smart Controller need a microphone plugged in before streaming will start.2026-08-242026-11-24

The first one is a DJI app limitation, not a Nebli one. A drone paired with the DJI RC is not incompatible with us. That controller has no way to send a stream anywhere, to us or to anyone else. Pair the same aircraft with any controller from the streaming table and the path opens.

Each limit carries the date we checked it and the date we check it again, because DJI removes these in app updates. Past its next-check date, treat a limit here as unverified rather than current.

FAQ

Does my DJI Mini work with Nebli?

It depends on your controller rather than on the Mini. Mini 5 Pro and Mini 4 Pro stream with any controller they ship with. Mini 3 Pro and Mini 3 stream with the RC-N1, but not with the DJI RC, which has no live streaming option in DJI Fly. Streaming sends video only, with no telemetry and no camera control.

Do I need to download anything?

No, not for either DJI path. Binding happens when you sign in on the controller, and streaming is sent by the DJI app itself.

What is the difference between binding and streaming?

Binding gives you live video, telemetry and camera control on handoff. Streaming gives you live video only. Binding needs DJI Pilot 2, which is the enterprise app; consumer drones running DJI Fly use streaming.

My model is not on this list. Does that mean it does not work?

Not necessarily. The lists cover models we can speak for. Check which app your controller runs: Pilot 2 means both paths, DJI Fly with a Live Streaming option means streaming, and neither means no path today.

Can I control the camera from Nebli?

On the binding path, yes, on handoff. On the streaming path, no. The drone is sending video and nothing else, so the controls stay with the pilot.

Does the drone need its own internet connection to stream?

No. The controller or phone needs internet; the DJI app sends the stream from there.
