Who this is for: the administrador who manages people, and anyone who wants to know what their role allows.
Before you start: to invite, change roles or remove people you need the administrador role. Anyone can read the roles below.
Roles
Nebli Marine has three roles. The role names are the same in English and Spanish.

| operador | Everything a lector does, plus campaigns and launches, adopting nodes, and marking drifters recovered, lost or retired. |
| administrador | Everything an operador does, plus people, settings and gateway credentials. |
Every check of what a person may see or do asks whether it is allowed, and refuses when it cannot tell.
Invite someone
- Go to Settings › People and roles and choose Invite person.
- Enter their email and choose a role. The role starts at lector.
- Choose Send invitation.
They get an email, "You are invited to {organisation}", with Open the invitation. The invitation carries no secret: they sign in with a code sent to the invited address. It can be claimed for 7 days; after that it lapses.
- Pending invitations are listed under the people, with Revoke.
- Inviting the same address again replaces the waiting invitation.
- Inviting someone who is already in your organisation says "That person is already in the organisation."
- A person belongs to one organisation. To move someone from another organisation, their administrador removes them first, and then you invite them.
Signing in
There are no passwords. A person signs in with a code sent to their email:
- Enter your work email and choose Send code.
- Enter the code from the email: eight letters and digits, like
7KQ2-M9XA. Upper or lower case both work. - Choose Continue.
The code:
- works once, for ten minutes, and only in the browser that asked for it;
- is spent after five wrong tries, and the screen says "That code can no longer be used. Ask for a new one." A typo does not cost you an email;
- never locks your address. Code requests are limited per address and per network instead.
Asking for a code looks the same for every address, known or not.
The first time, after the code you see your invitation (the organisation, your role and who invited you) and choose Accept. If you have more than one pending invitation, choose the one to join; the others stay pending, and you can Decline them.
A session lasts up to 8 hours, and ends after 30 minutes without use, when you choose Sign out from your menu, or when you are removed. A service error never signs you out: the screen says Nebli Marine could not reach the service, with Try again.
Change a role or remove someone
In People and roles, each person's role can be changed from their row. Remove takes away their access at once; what they did stays in the record.
An organisation always keeps at least one administrador. Removing the last one, or changing their role, is refused: "The organisation needs at least one administrador."
Language
Each person sees every screen and email in English or Spanish. It starts from their browser and can be changed from Language in their menu; the choice they make wins over the browser.
